WOOD

MQ has a rich heritage of artisanal design and began with custom craftsmen of 19th century-style furniture and traditional wood windows. This devotion to quality and vision comes to life in our wood product line, which was created to bring the beauty of nature into the home.

YOUR VISION IS OUR EVERYTHING

Whether you’re looking for historical authenticity, architectural integrity, or an innovative engineering solution to make a ground-breaking design possible, the Mistral line has earned a reputation for delivering.

With a broad range of thoroughly designed profiles, we can accommodate any architectural style, from traditional to contemporary, to baroque, to minimalist.

In most cases, mahogany* provides the best combination of versatility, performance, stability and appearance. Ours is responsibly harvested and provides superior moisture resistance. Minimal annual maintenance will help to provide optimal protection from the elements. The result is a stunning appearance that lasts.

*Actual wood species is either Sapele or Sipo, both non-endangered species grown in Africa, with color and characteristics similar to Central American mahoganies. Natural occurring variations in grain, color and texture of wood make each window or door one of a kind.  We cannot guarantee consistency in wood grain and/or color within a particular species, product or project.

THE ANATOMY OF ARTISTRY

What sets MQ apart from all others isn’t just that we can make virtually any window or door you can imagine. It’s how we make them.

We employ a unique combination of cutting-edge robotics and master craftsmanship to produce flawless millwork designed to perform.

  • Our robotics provide levels of precision, consistency and intricacy that go beyond human capabilities. Then these individual parts are inspected, finished and assembled by artisans dedicated to perfection.

    • Our manufacturing process also creates a superior product. Each project is specifically designed to meet your unique needs.

"A thing of beauty is a joy forever." — John Keats

Mistral™ windows and doors are as durable as they are elegant. We mill every sash and frame from a 3-ply piece of solid wood for superior stability, strength and performance. We can source nearly any species, as deemed adequate for fenestration.

500 Series Façade System

The 500 Series Façade System is a Wood-Aluminum Curtain Wall. Its skeleton is made of wood, covered with an aluminum or bronze profile with a thermal barrier in polyamide.

System Benefits

Sound insulation: The wood frames play a large role in heightening the level of sound insulation.

Thermal insulation: The wood skeleton acts as a very efficient isolator against the harsh temperatures of winter as well as the suffocating heat of summer.

Higher level of stability: Because of its wood structure, the 500 Series Façade system reaches a lesser degree of expansion and contraction when compared to regular aluminum systems.

Design flexibility: The natural beauty and warmth of wood provide attractive interiors. While the glass rebate allows the use of insulating glasses with thickness varying between 24mm(1") and 40mm (1 9/16") allowing high performance solutions.

Easy installation: The 500 Series Façade system was engineered to facilitate and accelerate installation. Brackets, adjustable in three dimensions, are used to compensate the eventual irregularities of the concrete work.
